6 Week Online Video Gaming Challenge

Aged Care & Housing Group Inc ABN 99 437 071 895 (ACH Group, we, us, our) is hosting a six week online video gaming challenge which is open to the general public, and which aims to increase social connections for older people in our community.  ACH Group will provide a list of online video games which it recommends as appropriate for the use of older people aiming to increase their social connectedness. 

Face to Face Arcade Events

Throughout the six week online video gaming challenge, ACH Group will be hosting various arcade events which are face to face facilitated video gaming events.  These arcade events will only be open to South Australians and will be held at various ACH Group sites and council sites.  

Depending on a participant’s level of mobility, ACH Group employees will be able to recommend certain online video games which are appropriate to the participant.  We will also be offering people assistance and advice regarding how to purchase games online and any other aspect of participation.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You participate in this challenge and/or arcade event at your sole risk and responsibility;

  • It is your sole responsibility to assess whether you are fit enough to participate;

  • You are aware that some online video gaming can be physically demanding and participation in some activities may pose a risk to your health;

  • ACH Group is not responsible for any physical harm or injury which results from any aspect of your participation in the challenge and/or arcade event;

  • You are required to abide by all ACH Group employee instructions and equipment operating and safety instructions;

  • You may only use equipment that ACH Group employees have shown you how to use.  If you are not sure of correct use or operation of any equipment, please seek assistance from ACH Group employees;

  • ACH Group employees or contractors are not responsible for any loss of, or damage to, your personal property;

  • ACH Group does not make any guarantees about the outcome of the use of online video games;

  • These terms and conditions supersede and cancel any previous agreement, understanding and/or arrangement; and

  • ACH Group reserves the right to terminate your participation immediately in circumstances where:

a. you fail to abide by any of the terms and conditions in this agreement;

b. you fail to follow any reasonable instructions given to you by ACH Group;

c. it is in the interest of protecting your health and safety, or the health and safety of any ACH Group employee or other participant.

 
 

Weekly Participation Award

  1. These terms and conditions incorporate the following references:
    1.1. “our” or “we” or “us” means Aged Care and Housing Group Incorporated Members Liability Limited, South Australia ARBN 142 240 499 – known as ‘ACH Group’
    1.2. ‘you” or “your” means the person entering this competition.

  2. These competitions are not open to ACH Group employees and the immediate family of ACH Group employees.

  3. The right to participate in these competitions is not dependent upon the purchase of any of our products or services.

  4. The right to participate in this raffle is dependent on your participation in the Stay in the Game Challenge and on utilising the Challenge Portal to set weekly learning goals for the week each competition is drawn.

  5. There are no fees for entry into this competitions. “Weekly Participation Reward”
    Entrants will be automatically entered into the competition if registered to participate as part of the Stay in the Game Challenge, and if participant has utilised the online Challenge Portal to set weekly gaming goals and reflected on them – for the given week competition is drawn, as according to the competition requirements listed on the prizes page on the Stay in the Game website here.

  6. The competition is restricted to residents of South Australia only.

  7. There is one competition, with six prizes: “Weekly Participation Reward” – the prizes for this competition is six ‘Coles-Myer gift card”, valued at $50.00 each, with one prize awarded each week for the length of the challenge (6 weeks).

  8. Competitions are open until 28 May and will be drawn each week for the length of the Stay in the Game Challenge, at 3.00pm on each Monday starting April 26 2021 until June 1 2021 at our head office at 22 Henley Beach Road, Mile End.

  9. Winners will be randomly selected by a representative of ACH Group.

  10. There are six prizes, and six draws.

  11. The winner/s will be notified by telephone or email that he or she has won the prize and provided with details of how the prize is to be delivered or collected.

  12. If the prizes are not claimed by the winner/s within 1 month of the competition being drawn, the winner/s will be taken to have forfeited the prize, and the competition may be redrawn.

  13. By entering this competition, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which can be found on our website here. Your information will not be shared with a third party other than as stated in our Privacy Policy. However, by entering this competition, you agree to receive promotional materials from us from time to time and allow us to use your personal information for this purpose.   14. If participant does not participate as part of the Stay in the Game Challenge or utilise the Challenge Portal to set their weekly gaming goals or reflect on them for the given week the competition is drawn, they will be disqualified from entry.

  15. We are not responsible for lost, delayed, corrupted or misdirected entries. We do not have any control over communication networks and services and are not responsible for any entries which are not properly received by us or restricted participation in the challenge due to technical malfunctions.

  16. The prizes are not exchangeable for cash.

 

Major Prizes

  1. These terms and conditions incorporate the following references:

  5. There are no fees for entry into this competitions. “Major Prizes”
    Entrants can enter into any of the four streams of the competition if registered to participate as part of the Stay in the Game Challenge, and by using the online web submission portal, or by emailing their story to stayinthegame@ach.org.au prior to the challenge wrap up on 19th April 2021.   6. The competition is restricted to residents of South Australia only.

  7. There are four competitions: 

    1. “Physical Fitness through gaming award” - the prize for this competition is your choice of one Apple Watch Series 3, or one Galaxy Active Watch, or one Rebel Sports voucher valued at $250.

    2. “Friendship and Connection through gaming award” - the prize for this competition is your choice of one Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 32GB Tablet or one iPad Wi-Fi 32GB 10.2 inch tablet.

    3. “Intergenerational gaming award” - the prize for this competition is one JB HiFi voucher valued at $250

    4. “South Australia’s Gamer of the Year” - the prizes for this competition is the choice of:

      1. One Nintendo Switch Console (valued at $469.95 RRP), 12 months of Nintendo Switch online (valued at $29.95 RRP), and your choice of an ‘exercise bundle’ (consisting of one copy of Nintendo Ring Fit Adventure game for Nintendo Switch - $124.95 RRP) or a ‘racing bundle’ (consisting of one copy of Mario Kart 8 on Nintendo Switch - $79.95 RRP, and one HORI Mario Kart Racing Wheel Pro Deluxe for Nintendo Switch - $199.95 RRP)

  8. Competitions are open until 28 May and will be selected on the week of May 31 2021 at our head office at 22 Henley Beach Road, Mile End.

  9. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges comprising of stakeholders from the Stay in the Game Project.

  10. The winner/s will be notified by telephone or email that he or she has won the prize and provided with details of how the prize is to be delivered or collected.

  11. If the prizes are not claimed by the winner/s within 1 month of the competition being drawn, the winner/s will be taken to have forfeited the prize, and the competition may be redrawn.
